Well lets see it was the few months after high school when i met her; brunette, light skin, light brown eyes, but what i really noticed were her lips. They were a soft pink hue and they would stay in a semi-permanent kissy face even when she was upset. I didn't know who she was but my friend did she introduced us, her name was Cassandra, she shook my hand. I make a dumb remark she laughs to show the most beautiful smile I've seen to that day. Weeks go by and I get to talk to her every once in a while in passing between classes or when i got out early. She was polite and she had interesting stories to tell every time I quickly began to fall for her but I figured the feelings weren't reciprocated so i didnt ask her out...so i asked my friends if they all wanted to watch a movie, they all agree to go. that same day i ask her to come with us she says shed love to, i ask for her number and she gives it to me.
I never will know if it was by design by my friends or by divine fate that everyone cancelled on me that day, i pick up my phone, hear it ring once....twice....three times.....my chest feels tight and I hear her.
'Hello?' Cassy
"hey, Cassy?" myself
'yeah this is her, who is this?' Cassy
"Its Gary from school, hey my friends all cancelled last minute i was just calling to see if you still wanted to go...i mean i completely understand if you dont cuz i dont want youi to thin k this was some kind of covert plan of mine....not that it would be i mean *blushing* i understand if u dont feel like going " myself
"hahaha why would i mind" Cassy
'I dont know i suppose cuz it looks like a date' myself
" dont worry lets go it'll be fun" Cassy
' alright I'll pick you up from your house then we'll go, deal?' myself
"sure see you soon" Cassy ...
That nigth I saw her and we watched the comebacks she was sweet and I did everything in my power not to push or prode her into anything. By the time we had left the teather we were openly flirting. We get to the mall and i do the unthinkable, I asked her to go steady....literally in that same format she says yes she'd love to. I am happy so very very happy at that point.
I would later tell her about the whole thing and we would laugh but right there and then i as just glad she said yes.
